10 @ 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM ROCKIN' DOCS FOR DIABETES CURE Rockin' Docs for Diabetes Cure is a new, exciting benefit concert/fundraising event featuring four established local rock bands composed predominantly of doctor-musicians from 3 large hospital centers in the Philadelphia area (Abington Memorial Hospital, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Doylestown Hospital). Andre Gardner, WMGK Afternoon Drive On-Air Personality and host of Breakfast with the Beatles, will emcee the event. General admission and VIP tickets will be going on sale soon. We expect that the event will attract a large audience including the staff and employees of the three hospitals, the substantial network of JDRF supporters, patrons eager to support the efforts of their local doctors, and the general public sympathetic to diabetes related causes. This first annual event was conceived and created by Kenneth Einhorn M.D. and Jeremy Jaffe M.D. (himself diagnosed with type 1 diabetes over 20 years ago), both of whom are fathers of children with type 1 diabetes. Their goal is that no family should ever have to deal with the pain and anxiety in learning a loved one has developed diabetes. And no one should ever have to carry the heavy burden of this disease throughout their lifetime. For further inquiries or other ways to help, please contact Dr. Einhorn or Dr. Jaffe via email at: rockindocs@verizon.net Electric Factory 421 N 7th Street Philadelphia, PA 215610.664.9255 www.jdrfeasternpa.org |
